It may be 90 degrees outside today and we may set a record high but would it cool you off to think about Christmas?? Save the date for the annual Christmas Parade in beautiful downtown Clayton! Let's send America off into the next 250 years by paying homage to our Founding Fathers. Think strings of popcorn, paper chains, garland made of bright cranberries and all things that make our country's early Christmases so special. Bring on the Christmas songs with fife and drum! Is this an easy theme? Maybe not but get creative and show us what you've got. What if George Washington crossed the Potomac riding on a reindeer? What if the Declaration of Independence was written by elves? The Parade will be Saturday, December 5th at 6pm. Applications available online or at City Hall. Deadline to enter November 30th.
