For the first time in its rich history, the City of Clayton is offering Clayton LEADS, a community leadership development program designed to educate, connect, and inspire current and emerging leaders who are committed to the future of the City of Clayton.
Facilitated by the City of Clayton Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Clayton LEADS will provide participants with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the organizations, services, resources, and leaders that help shape the community. Through a series of immersive sessions, participants will explore topics including local government, public safety, economic development, health and human services, outdoor recreation, and the nonprofit sector.
The program is intended to cultivate informed, connected, and engaged leaders who are prepared to contribute to Clayton's continued growth and success. Participants will have the opportunity to build relationships with fellow community leaders, learn from local experts, and gain valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the city.
The 2026 Clayton LEADS class will meet five times from August to November and a program fee of $100 is required. Scholarships are available for qualified applicants. Attendance and participation in all sessions are required for graduation.
Applications are now being accepted and must be submitted by July 20, 2026. Completed applications may be emailed to info@cityofclaytonga.gov or delivered to Clayton City Hall.
