Thank you to everyone for staying home yesterday and allowing our Public Works Crew to work safely. They are working today to further clear the roads and apply salt and grit. Please understand the roads are, and will be slick. With temperatures only climbing into the upper 30's today and then dropping into the teens tonight, these conditions will persist well into tomorrow. Steep and shady slopes will remain icy well beyond the weekend. Please respect anyone out working today and be mindful when traveling. Stay safe!!

Rabun County Water & Sewer Authority customers on 441 from Pizza Hut south to 20 Penny, Rickman Street, Duggan Hill and Warwoman Road to Pinnacle Road will experience a disruption of water service from 10:00 pm Monday evening, October 14, 2024 until 8:00 am Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024, to repair a water main. Crews will be set up at the intersection of Rickman Street and Duggan Hill. Thank you for your patience during this time and we are sorry for any inconvenience. The Council adopted a rollback millage rate of 7.059 at Tuesday's regular meeting.
The Planning & Zoning Board meeting scheduled for tonight, Sept 12th, has been cancelled.
The Planning & Zoning variance hearing scheduled for today has been cancelled.
